SELECTED WORK
ODEL Sports
Three distinct retail zones — Athleisure, Performance, and Teams — each inspired by a stadium or gym locker room atmosphere.
Existing furniture and display units repurposed and refurbished, preserving design vision while achieving significant cost efficiencies.
Showcasing the spatial layout, material palette, lighting strategy, and customer journey before construction.
Originally conceived as a premier destination for sports enthusiasts, the ODEL Sports Store was designed around three distinct retail zones each inspired by the atmosphere of a stadium or gym locker room. Carefully considered materials, lighting, and colour palettes established a unique identity for each zone while maintaining a cohesive customer experience. During construction, the project was adapted to meet revised budget requirements. Existing furniture and display units from previous ODEL stores were carefully repurposed and refurbished rather than replaced, preserving the original design vision while achieving significant cost efficiencies.
ODEL Mt Lavinia
Zoning was designed across sub-categories — Men's, Ladies, Sportswear, Perfumery, Accessories, Kids and Homeware — with featured ceiling lighting highlighting key pathways. Materials were thoughtfully reused, repainted and altered to deliver a cost-effective installation without compromising on design intent.
LUV SL Temporary Relocation
A cohesive retail environment designed for a temporary relocation using reused furniture and lighting from the original store. The design carefully balanced continuity of brand identity with the spatial constraints and possibilities of the new location.
Glomark Supermarket
The Fish and Meat section interior draws inspiration from raw and tender cuts of meat — a palette ranging from light pink to deep red, with complementary whites and greys. A distinctive tile backsplash pattern adds texture and character to the space.
Softlogic MAX
A consistent modern aesthetic across multiple Softlogic electronics stores — neutral palettes, clean minimalist lines, and custom shelving and display units. Each location features a unique layout for its specific footprint, with flexible lighting and modular furniture.
GUESS & OVS
Supported the delivery of international retail brands GUESS and OVS across multiple Sri Lankan locations by coordinating the implementation of their approved store concepts. Responsibilities included reviewing tenant design documentation, managing landlord design approvals, coordinating with mall stakeholders, and overseeing site execution to ensure architectural, MEP, lighting, ceiling, flooring, and fixture installations complied with each brand's global standards and project requirements.
Exclusive Lines, Spa Ceylon & Eric Rajapakshe Opticals
Coordinated the delivery of tenant fit-outs for Exclusive Lines, Spa Ceylon, and Eric Rajapaksha Opticals within a commercial development. Responsibilities included reviewing tenant design submissions, managing landlord design approvals, coordinating with project stakeholders, and overseeing the execution of landlord scope works, including architectural finishes, flooring, ceilings, and building services, to ensure alignment with each tenant's approved store design. Worked closely with tenant representatives throughout the project to support the integration of tenant-installed furniture, lighting, fixtures, and specialist fit-out elements.
